McInerney arraigned on charges
FREEHOLD — Bartholomew “Bart” McInerney, 42, of Spring Lake Heights, was arraigned on Monday in Monmouth County Superior Court, here, on 12 counts of second degree endangering the welfare of a child.
An arraignment is a formal reading of the charges, to which Mr. McInerney pleaded not guilty.

Star News Group names contest winners
Over 2,290 votes were cast in Star News Group’s first Spooktacular Halloween Photo Contest, and the winners were clear.
The children’s category went to Hanna Whitcomb, 7, for “Haunting Spring Lake,” which garnered 339 of 636 votes, or 53 percent. The photo, submitted by Kerry Whitcomb, earned Hanna a $50 gift certificate to Quinderella’s Toys in Manasquan.
